Cumann na mBunscoil Athletics

Athletics in Scoil Chaitríona started in the late 1970's and a team from 3rd  4th  5th and 6th classes has paticipated in Santry every year since. Thanks to the dedication of the teachers involved Scoil Chaitríona has won many medals over the years.

Scoil Chaitríona Choir

The School choir was first formed over thirty years ago. The choir is mainly used to make both the Holy Communion and Confirmation days and extra special occasion.

European Languages

Italian is taught to the 5th and 6th class girls as part of the curriculum while Spanish classes are taught after school to all ages for a minimal fee.

Swimming

Swimming lessons are taught to 4th classes and room 17 and 18 for two terms. Please have your child bring togs, towel, hat and goggles if required.

Basketball

Basketball is taught all year round and the school has had great success in competitions with other schools.

European Links

The School has taken part in many European projects and has been twinned with schools in Austria, Hungary, France, Spain, and Italy.

Handwriting Competition

Scoil Chaitríona regulary enters and wins prizes in the Schools Handwriting Competition which is organised by I.N.T.O and sponsored by E.B.S

Credit Union

Our school encourages saving and parents help organise the credit union once a week in liaison with Coolock Artane credit Union every Friday morning from 9.30 - 10.00
